Chair, furnishings of representative buildings of the Republic of Poland 1918–1939, Biedermeier, Classicism, mahogany chair with a padded seat and a board-and-openwork backrest, supported by four angular, converging legs — front straight, rear arched outwards. Trapezoidal seat, straight frame. Backrest angled outwards, with stiles extending the rear legs, fastened with an arched, profiled strip and a crowning board curved in line with the back. Upholstery connected to the frame. 1815–1830, Warsaw; seating furniture. Height 87.3 cm, width 46.5 cm, depth 43.5 cm., A wooden chair with a dark brown finish and visible wood grain stands against a light background; it has a straight rectangular top rail and a simple curved slat below it connecting the back uprights, tapered legs, and an upholstered seat covered in a striped fabric with shades of burgundy, pink, black, and gray, edged with a narrow decorative trim.
