Armchair, origin unknown, neo-Rococo rocaille ornament, decorated with flowers, acanthus, fetes galantes, campanulas, and floral bouquets; veneered with rosewood, with porcelain plaques and cast brass fittings. Upholstered backrest, seat, armrests; seat on springs; upholstery non-original, with lace ribbons featuring floral bouquets. Form: S-shaped cabriole legs widening in the upper section and arching into a wavy, bulging frame ending with rollers at the front. Armrests repeat the frame outline on recessed, slightly S-shaped supports topped with volutes. Backrest shaped as a symmetrical cartouche widening upward, framed by channel sections topped with volutes and a clearance. Porcelain plaques painted with flowers set in brass frames of rocaille, flowers, and acanthus leaves at the center of the front frame and backrest finial. Edges accented with brass strips; additional brass fittings include a garland at the backrest finial, volutes at the armrest ends, acanthus plaques, and slippers at knees and feet.
