Armchair, origin unknown, rocaille ornament, neo-Rococo style; motifs: flowers, acanthus, fêtes galantes, campanulas, floral bouquets, cartouches. Neo-Rococo armchair, upholstered backrest, seat, armrests, veneered with rosewood, decorated with porcelain plaques and cast brass fittings. S-shaped legs widening in the upper section cabriole, arching into a frame with a wavy outline, bulging; front ends with rollers. Armrests repeat the frame outline, on recessed slightly S-shaped supports, topped with volutes. Backrest in the form of a symmetrical cartouche, widening upwards, framed by channel sections topped with volutes; with a clearance. Porcelain plaques painted with flowers in the center of the front frame and backrest finial, set in brass frames of rocaille, flowers, and acanthus leaves. Frame edges accented with brass strips; additional brass fittings: garland at the backrest finial, volutes at armrest ends, acanthus plaques and sabots at knees and feet. Seat upholstery on springs; upholstery non-original, with lace ribbons featuring floral bouquets. Date: 1850–1870, France probable. Function: seating unit, furniture. Dimensions: height 111 cm, width 70 cm, depth 60 cm., An upholstered armchair seen from the back with a wooden frame in warm brown tones and carved golden decorative accents, featuring cream-colored fabric with a subtle floral pattern on the backrest, seat, and arm pads, curved wooden legs and arm supports, and a neutral grey background and floor.
