Padlock, 19th century. A padlock in the shape of a cuboid, the upper part topped with a kind of cornice; on each corner two cuboids are connected by a cylindrical rod acting as an earring. After unlocking, the side wall together with the earring is pulled out, facilitated by an openwork hinged handle. The key hole is horizontal on the longer wall. Maker, locksmithing. Height 12.6 cm, width 12.7 cm, depth 6.2 cm., A metallic block-like object with a matte silvery-gray surface stands against a pale gray background. The object has a rectangular, geometric shape with a cutout section revealing a cylindrical metallic rod connecting the top and bottom parts. Both the inner and outer faces show vertical ridged grooves and smooth flat surfaces with a slightly worn, textured finish. A small ornamental metal handle with a looped decorative design is attached to the top surface. The overall colors visible are silvery-gray and pale gray.
