Teapot, Rundell Bridge & Rundell fl. ca. 1788–1845 goldsmith's firm; Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmiths/sellers. Tea vessel; hemispherical body on a low cylindrical pedestal, lower body decorated with radial curls, upper edge with a band of acanthus leaves. Hinged lid with raised collar bearing an applied vine branch with clusters. Double handle of blackened wood set in caps upper caps shaped as snake heads, lower as tails. Applied Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludament with labry and the motto Badz co sie jest; also bears Pogon Ruska coat of arms, rank crowns, princely mitre, mottos heraldry, paludamentum, labry. Ornament: acanthus leaves, vines, snake iconography, clasp. Inscription/motto: Badz co sie jest. Date: 1803/1804, London, England. Materials: silver with applied ornament, blackened wood handle. Dimensions: height 13 cm; width 24.6 cm; depth 17.2 cm; weight 1002 g., A reflective metal bowl-shaped vessel with an ornate lid sits against a plain light gray background; the vessel is primarily silver in color with a dark curved handle attached to one side, and the lid features a rounded knob and decorative raised floral and grapevine motifs around its rim, while the body shows fluted detailing along its lower edge and smooth polished surfaces with some darker tarnished areas.
