Plaque in the form of a frame with two columns topped by a semicircle, with a depiction of the Virgin Mary and Child; in the arch a depiction of the Crucified. White, blue, red, and green enamel. 16th century, Spain. Plaque; height 14.5 cm, width 11 cm., A small rectangular metal plaque with a rounded top and ornamental curved corners, shown against a gray background, with a raised central relief depicting a seated figure holding a smaller figure; the metal surface is weathered with a patina showing shades of brown, green, and reddish tones, and there are a few small round holes near the edges and a couple of small rectangular patches of lighter-colored material affixed to the surface.
