Four-column portico form on cuboid base and counter-base; boxwood inlays on front of cornice and base with rhombus rosette and tendril on both stilts; gilded bronze bases and capitals. Suspended movement with silver dial with Roman numerals and two keyholes hangs between the columns. Gilded bronze frame with shells surrounds the clock. Oak construction with rosewood facing and light wood insets. Circa 1840, Paris, France. Timepiece; height 47 cm, width 21 cm., A decorative vertical mantel clock with dark brown wood, gold, and light gray tones, featuring a rectangular dark brown base with inlaid lighter brown floral patterns and gold trim, two dark brown fluted columns with gold capitals and bases rising from the base to support a rectangular dark brown top shelf that also has lighter brown floral inlay and gold edging, and a central round clock face suspended between the columns with a gold ornate circular frame and a light gray inner dial with dark hands.
