Gate lock. Double-bolt gate lock with key No. 52. Uncapped, with pull handle. Housed in a rectangular casing with five bolts: three central sliding back-and-forth, two outermost scissor-type that, when opened, lock the other bolts via side projections engaging cut-out recesses. Unlocking achieved by lifting the lever at the end of the lock or by turning the key. Key register box closed with a rectangular plate with cut corners and a central strip with oblique cuts. Very good, clean workmanship; attributed 17th/18th century, Austria, locksmith. Height 17.5 cm, width 35 cm., A rectangular metallic plate with a weathered, mottled surface showing shades of brown, dark brown, beige, and gray, featuring a group of round holes and a keyhole-shaped cutout near the lower center, a row of rectangular metal protrusions on the left edge, a curved metal rod with a round end extending from the right edge, and a pale pinkish-gray background.
