Gate lock. Double-bolt gate lock with Key No. 52. The lock is uncapped and has a pull handle. The entire mechanism shows very good, clean workmanship. Housed in a rectangular casing with five bolts: three central bolts slide back and forth, while the two outermost are scissor-type; when opened they lock the other bolts with side projections that engage cut-out recesses on the other bolts. Unlocking is achieved by lifting the lever at the end of the lock or by turning the key. Key register box closed with a rectangular plate with cut corners and a central strip with oblique cuts. Likely 17th/18th century, possibly Austria; locksmith work; height 17.5 cm, width 35 cm., A metal mechanical assembly with a rectangular frame and a lever extending from the left, showing a group of flat metal bars, curved spring-like components, and several rounded fasteners; the surface shows worn and aged metal tones including silver, gray, and darker tarnished patches, with a central block that has a warmer, slightly golden-brown color; the background is a soft pale mauve or light pinkish-gray and the object rests on a reflective surface that mirrors the lower edge of the assembly.
