Vault lock, Konstabel, Karol maker: locksmith, Masterpiece of the late Karol Konstabel, Guild Master, marked with the guild stamp. The lock's cabineting and workmanship, along with the key register, are among the more outstanding features. The lock has three bolts and a fourth latch bolt connected to the handle, which is missing. The cup is rectangular, with a border overlaid on it with an inner wavy edge, and a three-length vertical strip with a sequin and two inverted lyre shapes. On the underside, the case with the mechanism is separated, with a narrow chamber that was supposed to cover the bolt hasps. The stamp mentioned by Szewczykowski is invisible. The same technical solution as in a handmade lock described as Taszynski's from 1861 suggests it was a typical masterpiece lock presented in Warsaw and, as described in the Crafts Act of 1816, a precise treasury lock for a main door with flanking riffles with two springing and two lifting fels. Schierkapa with pasquil. Karol Konstabel was probably the son of Wilhelm, a master locksmith; 2nd half of the 19th century, Warsaw, locksmith. Dimensions: height 40 cm, width 27.5 cm, depth 12.5 cm., A metallic rectangular block with an ornate recessed face that has curved edges and decorative carved shapes is positioned upright against a pale gray background; the block shows a worn surface with patinated areas and a mix of brown, bronze, and silvery-gray tones, and several protruding flat metal prongs extend from one side, with reflections of the object visible on the glossy surface beneath.
