Supported on three shells and a three-sided raised base with side edges composed of volutes; richly decorated with floral tendrils and plain medallions. Baluster shaft at the bottom enclosed in a godron half-cylinder, decorated with floral festoons above, topped with a plate-shaped profiled element with a cylindrical sleeve. Medallion, volutes, floral and godron ornaments. Dated 1884/1885, London, England. Function: lighting. Height 24 cm; width 13.6 cm; depth 13.6 cm; weight 852 g., A single ornate metal candlestick stands upright against a neutral pale background, showing a polished silver color with darker patina in recesses; the stem tapers and swells with smooth rounded sections and a bulbous midsection decorated with raised floral garlands and ribbon-like motifs, a scalloped round drip pan with engraved petal patterns sits near the top beneath a cup-shaped candle holder that repeats floral banding; the broad base fans outward into a symmetrical three-lobed platform adorned with elaborate scrolling acanthus leaves, shell motifs, and embossed floral clusters, each lobe terminating in a shell-shaped foot, with the overall appearance combining smooth reflective surfaces and intricately chased darker details.
