Single-candle candlestick, neo-Baroque style, silver, supported on three shells and a three-sided raised base with side edges composed of volutes, richly decorated with floral tendril and plain medallions; baluster shaft at the bottom enclosed in a godron half-cylinder, decorated with floral festoons above, topped with a plate-shaped profiled drip pan with a cylindrical sleeve. Maker: Martin Goldstein fl. 1878–1886 and the firm C.J. Vander Ltd., London. Dated 1884/1885. Function: lighting. Dimensions: height 24 cm; width 13.6 cm; depth 13.6 cm; weight 852 g.
