Silver platter in the shape of a scallop shell terminating on one side with an oval narrow handle, radially clasped, decorated on the rim with relief floral ornament, volutes and acanthus scrolls; supported on three shell feet. Dated 1893–1894, Sheffield, England. Vessel. Height 5 cm; handle width 10 cm; overall width 28.5 cm; depth 23 cm; weight 357 g., A decorative shell-shaped dish with ornate raised floral and scrollwork patterns, showing a glossy reflective surface in silver tones; the dish has radiating ridges and scalloped edges with detailed embossed motifs, and a rounded handle-like extension with intricate embellishments, all photographed against a plain white background with visible highlights and reflections.
