Art Nouveau sugar bowl, Art Nouveau style, plant twig motif, sugar vessel gilded inside, circular with an arched lid with a handle in the form of branches. Large twig-shaped handles extend into three tall supports of the body. Dated 1899–1907. Place of origin uncertain: Germany or Austria. Weight 410 g, height 15 cm, width 18 cm., A polished metal container with a rounded, bulbous body and a domed lid topped by an ornate looping handle sits on an elegant openwork stand; the container has two sweeping curved handles on opposite sides and the stand features sinuous, ribbon-like supports that curl at the ends. The surface is reflective and smooth with visible panels and subtle seams, showing highlights and soft shadows. The visible colors in the image are shades of silver and gray against a light gray background.
