Cigarette case, scrap - purchase; Art Nouveau; bats; tobacco accessories. Rectangular cigarette case with rounded corners and a decoration on the lid in the shape of a flying bat. On the reverse, an engraved, tied Cyrillic monogram WAP and a facsimile of donors' signatures and the date 29 June 1913. Early 20th century, Russia. Height 7.5 cm; width 10.1 cm; weight 160 g., A rectangular metallic object with a raised sculptural design on its top surface, showing a textured, flowing form that resembles layered, curved elements and smooth ridges; the object has slightly beveled corners and a small cylindrical protrusion along one long edge. The visible colors are shades of silver and gray with darker gray shadows and subtle highlights.
