Jelly mold, repoussé copper sheet in the form of a lying lion with raised head allowing contents to be removed intact. Probably 18th–19th century, Germany, vessel; height 5.4 cm, width 15.5 cm, depth 9.8 cm., A small sculpted object resembling a reclining animal with flowing mane-like ridges sits on an oval base; the surface shows a weathered metallic finish with greenish-gray and brownish-copper tones, with patches of darker and lighter areas and a subtle reflective sheen on the base, all set against a smooth pale gray background.
