The register on the bottom plate is in the form of an irregular oval, with two semicircular projections with mounting holes that turn into flat supports for the cover in the form of a rectangle with rounded corners. Inside the key rod is a guide made of double sheet metal; on both sides of it are single horizontal slats, and two on the bottom plate of the register. 19th century, Germany. Lock. Maker/, A small metallic object sits on a reflective surface against a pale gray background; the object appears dark gray to black with a slightly uneven, textured surface and consists of layered, flat pieces stacked and fastened together, showing rounded and irregular edges and a few small punched holes; there are subtle highlights and shadowed areas on the metal, and the reflection below shows muted tones of gray and black.
