Lock register. The register on the bottom plate is in the form of an irregular oval, with two semicircular projections with mounting holes that turn into flat supports for the cover in the form of a rectangle with rounded corners. Inside the key rod is a guide made of double sheet metal; on both sides of it are single horizontal slats, and two on the bottom plate of the register. 19th century. Germany. Lock. Height 11.7 cm, width 16.3 cm, depth 5.3 cm., A dark metal lock plate with a rounded rectangular central body and two protruding rounded tabs on opposite sides, each tab featuring a circular hole, sits centered against a light gray background. The central body has a vertical keyhole with a circular upper opening and a tapered lower slot, and a short cylindrical metal pin visible through the upper opening. The metal surface shows irregular scratches, small dents, and worn edges with subtle lighter highlights and faint patches of brownish discoloration. The object casts a soft reflection and faint shadow on the glossy surface beneath it. Colors visible include dark gray, black, brownish tones, and the light gray of the background and reflection.
