Toothpick holder, purchase provenance noted, hedgehogs, animals, tassels; bronze toothpick holder in the shape of a pig resting on a rectangular base bordered with a fringe; 1820s–1840s; Poland ; varia; height 3.5 cm, width 6.3 cm, depth 4.7 cm., A metallic object with a golden color rests on a square golden base with rounded corners and decorative knobs at each corner; on top of the base sits an oval, perforated dome with many circular holes, also golden but showing darker brownish areas and spots of greenish discoloration; the base surface shows fine scratches and areas of darker tarnish against the overall pale gold background, and the image background is a light gray.
