Plate by Otto Friedrich Groth fl. 1792–1822. Flat pewter plate with a smooth mirror, semicircular notch, and narrow upturned collar. In the mirror is an engraved representation of unidentified crossed guild tools dated 1812 possibly meat cleavers, surrounded by a stylized plant twig with symmetrically arranged flowers including tulips on leafy stems, beneath a crown. On the collar is an engraved inscription surrounded by leafy branches: CARL. STOSZ. BEYSITZ-MEISTER. / CARL OTTO ALTGESTELLE., 1812, Brzeg, Silesia. Plate: height 2.2 cm, width 22.2 cm., A round shallow metal plate with a raised rim shown from above, its surface marked by scratches and areas of uneven texture, with a small shallow indentation near the center; the plate appears in shades of gray and silver, set against a pale muted lavender-gray background, and a soft reflected oval of the plate is visible beneath it in similar gray tones.
