Rectangular key case with a hinged cover and two clasp hooks. Trimmed with red leather, with gilded embossing; on the cover a frame along the edge with an ornament in the corners. In the centre a ducal mitre. On the underside a gilded frame along the edge, in the centre an ungilded embossed rhombus with an inscribed quatrefoil, and in the centre a rhombus with a four-petal rosette. Glued on a printed card with inventory numbers handwritten ink. Dated 1833, Germany. Varia. Height 9.8 cm, width 5.9 cm, depth 1.8 cm., A vertical view of a thin rectangular object with a red textured surface and gold decorative lines and flourishes along its edges, showing a pair of small brass hook-and-eye clasps attached near the middle and lower sections; the object appears split into two narrow panels pressed together, with visible wear and slight dark scuff marks on the red surface, set against a plain light gray background.
