Repeater pocket watch in two silver cases: smooth outer case; inner case with framed glazed lid and mechanism cover engraved with an openwork floral/acanthus twig, winding hole, and bell. White enameled dial with black Roman hour numerals, minute scale marked with dashes, calendar with Arabic numerals, three steel hands hour and minute in openwork weave; third straight for day of month. Small seconds subdial at bottom with Arabic numerals. Dial signed “EARDLEY NORTON / LONDON.” Movement: gilded brass circular plates connected by pillars, spring-powered drive, spindle escapement; lower plate with openwork crown richly decorated with acanthus tendrils and engraved acanthus volutes; cut-out reserve engraved “Eardley / Norton London.” Preserved winding key on chain.
