Hexagonal table clock of gilded bronze on six volute legs with glazed side walls; silver-plated ring-shaped dial with black Roman numerals for hours and Arabic minutes, two winding holes; center engraved Regency-Rococo cartouche signed Gugenmos/Varssavie also given as Johann / Michael / Gugenmus / A Varsovie. Hinged flap closing the mechanism; front plate with a modest bun and a hammer with engraved bronze head. Mechanism with strike repeater and a handle on the side wall under the upper edge. 2nd half of the 18th century. Poland, Warsaw. Timepiece. Height 8.5 cm, width 13.5 cm, depth 13.5 cm., A hexagonal metal clock face with a brass-colored frame sits centered against a light gray background, showing a circular dial with a worn, pale surface and ornate dark metal hands. The central medallion is a warmer gold tone with engraved decorative patterns, surrounded by an outer ring that is a lighter, silvery shade. The frame has textured detailing and a muted golden color, and there are decorative dark bronze or brown metal fittings partially visible behind the frame. The overall colors visible include gold, brass, pale silver, dark brown, and light gray.
