Pair of earrings made of 56 gold with a faceted rock crystal teardrop set in gold and suspended from a faceted crystal ball. 19th century, St. Petersburg, Russia. Jewelry., A small open case with a dark reddish-brown exterior and a pale cream satin interior holds a soft pale green velvet pad on which a pair of clear faceted teardrop-shaped crystal pendants rest; the pendants are attached to short segments of metallic gold-colored fittings and small round gold-colored beads, and the crystals display multiple flat facets that reflect light. The background is a uniform muted gray.
