Inkwell, unknown creator; early 19th century, France, inkwell; maker possibly Tadeusz Bylewski 1866–1939; height 13.5 cm, width 9.4 cm, depth 8.4 cm, A metallic object with a gold tone sits on a pale background; it has an egg-shaped top with a visible seam near its middle and a rounded base mounted on a stepped circular plinth, which in turn rests on a square block base with a textured band around its lower edge; the surface shows some darker spots and wear, with colors including gold, darker tarnished brown areas, and a light gray background.
