Seven weights in the form of bowls — truncated cones; the eighth, largest, serves as a container for the others and has a hinged lid with a movable handle mounted in pinnacles shaped like simplified vases. On the lid: stamped 16 MARK, Prussian eagle, BERLIN stamp; another mark engraved 160; on the side engraved 152. Late 18th century, Germany. Weight. Creator: Gwicht, unknown., A close-up view of the inside of a round metal cup with a hinged lid visible at the right edge; the interior shows a worn, textured surface in shades of gold and brass with darker tarnished spots and a few rough patches, while the exterior rim and hinge also display metallic gold and brass tones, and the background is a smooth pale gray.
