Seven weights in the form of bowls—truncated cones; the eighth largest serves as a container for the others, with a hinged lid; closed with a lid; with a movable handle mounted in pinnacles shaped as simplified vases. On the lid stamped 16 MARK, Prussian eagle, BERLIN stamp; 160 engraved on another mark; on the side engraved 152. Late 18th century, Europe, Germany. Weight. Maker: Gwicht, Szewczykowski, Roman 1849–1901., A small metallic container with a hinged lid and a decorative handle sits against a plain gray background. The object is brass-colored with a slightly worn, patinated surface showing darker and lighter areas. The lid features a central ornate arching handle with a rounded finial and two smaller urn-shaped finials on either side. The top also has a raised, stepped section with circular openings. A latch extends down the front of the container from the lid to the body. The body tapers inward toward the base and shows subtle surface marks and scratches. The reflection of the object is faintly visible on the glossy surface beneath it.
