Seven weights in the form of bowls — truncated cones; the eighth largest serves as a container for the others, with a hinged lid. Closed with a lid, with a movable handle mounted in pinnacles shaped like simplified vases. On the lid stamped 16 MARK, Prussian eagle, BERLIN stamp; 160 engraved on another mark; on the side engraved 152. Late 18th century, Europe, Germany. Weight., A brass-colored metal vessel with a conical body and a round base sits against a pale gray background, showing a slightly worn and mottled surface with darker spots and patina. The vessel has a decorative lid topped by a finial composed of stacked rounded shapes and a small knob, and a horizontal rim with a ridged band where the lid meets the body. Hinged bracket-like extensions project from the rim on opposite sides, each with articulated arms attached near the upper body. Reflections of the object appear faintly on the smooth surface beneath it.
