Seven weights in the form of bowls—truncated cones; the eighth, largest, serves as a container for the others and has a hinged lid with a movable handle mounted in pinnacles shaped like simplified vases. On the lid: stamped 16 MARK, Prussian eagle, BERLIN stamp; another mark engraved 160; on the side engraved 152. Late 18th century, Germany. Maker: Gwicht unknown role of the creator. Materials: measures and weights., A small metallic container with a hinged lid and ornate handle sits centered against a pale gray background; the object is brass-colored with a slightly aged patina and shows areas of darker tarnish and subtle scratches, the lid topped by a decorative finial and two small urn-shaped knobs, a curved handle with sculpted details arches between them, and the tapered body has a smooth surface with a few small dents and a rounded base that reflects faintly onto the surface beneath.
