Jewellery die, Approximately hexagonal die with a relief rectangular reserve enclosed at the ends by two leaves. At the top and bottom of the reserve are floral and plant decorations and scrolls. Probably a jeweller's die for making semi-finished products, 2nd half of the 19th century, Germany. Die; height 3 cm, width 6 cm, depth 3 cm., A metallic, octagonal object sits against a pale gray background, showing a raised, ornate central plaque with a horizontal blank panel flanked by symmetrical scrollwork and leafy flourishes; above the panel is a decorative motif including a rose and ribbon-like elements, and the metal surface displays a textured, slightly worn finish with darker areas along the lower edge.
