Lock, Baroque, 17th century. Four-bolt door lock with key key missing. Good locksmithing workmanship from the beginning of the last century, with precise professional finishing on both the lock plate and the brass covering of the mechanism. The key, along with its rich register, is described as meticulously and precisely crafted, likely a masterful piece of craftsmanship. Description: A four-bolt latch lock on a rectangular plate with a trefoil rear section. The cover is engraved with a twig motif, with profiled male busts with mustaches in the side bulges and an en face mask in the central one, with a hole for the register dome. On the other side the plate is bent at a right angle for mounting on the side of the door. The mechanism is partially covered by an openwork cover engraved with a twig motif with a bird and a pomegranate. Screw mounting. Brass box cover that once covered the central part of the lock is noted as absent. Metalwork. Dimensions: height 33 cm, width 22 cm, depth 12.8 cm., A metallic object with a weathered, mottled surface in shades of gray, silver, and dark brown sits against a light gray background and is reflected on a glossy surface below; the object has a rectangular front face with several rectangular cutouts, a thicker curved back portion with small round holes across its surface, a short cylindrical rod protruding from one side, and a small raised hinge-like piece on top, with the metal showing areas of shine and oxidation.
