Dessert spoon with an ovoid scoop topped with a pointed tip, decorated with semi-plastic roses at the bottom, gilded; handle widening towards the end and topped in a semicircle, edged with a profiled band, decorated with roses. Dauphin pattern introduced by the company in 1897; 1899–1905 the HP — Helena Paderewska — monogram indicates the spoon was purchased or given no earlier than 1899, the Paderewskis' wedding date. Paderewski, Ignacy Jan 1860–1941 and Paderewska, Helena 1856–1934 monogram. United States of America; Concord. Cutlery. Length 15 cm; width 2.8 cm; weight 30 g., A single ornate spoon lies against a flat gray background, showing a polished golden-toned bowl with a small rectangular patch of coarse fabric attached inside, and a decorative silver-toned handle featuring floral and scroll motifs running along its length and into an embellished terminal with floral accents; visible colors include gray, gold, silver, beige, and a touch of brown.
