Tea spoon, Dominick & Haff fl. 1868–1928. Trianon pierced cutlery model, Neo-Rococo style. Tea spoon with an ovoid, smooth scoop with a knotted HP monogram engraved on the reverse; straight, flaring, openwork handle with Neo-Rococo ornament of rocailles, acanthus and small flowers, enamelled on the inside with colored enamel in shades of white, green, blue; brown enamel along the handle, fading to white. The Trianon pierced handle pattern was introduced by the company in 1885; the HP Helena Paderewska monogram indicates the spoon was purchased or given no earlier than 1899 the Paderewskis' wedding date. Height 15.5 cm; width 3.1 cm; weight 20 g., A decorative metal spoon lies horizontally against a solid gray background, showing a warm golden surface with areas of darker tarnish and lighter highlights; the bowl of the spoon has a subtle engraved swirl pattern and a small rectangular paper label affixed, and the handle features ornate openwork floral and scroll motifs with raised detailing in the same golden tone.
