Four-sided platter by Thomas Bradbury & Sons Sheffield; goldsmiths, fl. ca. 1769–1943. Four-sided platter with slightly concave, raised sides; upturned, irregularly cut rim, decorated with a band of godron ornament. Engraved on the side with a rooster standing on a crown. Dated 1903–1904, London, England. Dish. Height 3.9 cm; width 25 cm; depth 20.8 cm; weight 684 g., A rectangular metallic object with a raised, rounded lid and decorative beaded edging sits against a light gray background; the surface shows a worn, slightly tarnished finish with areas of shine and dullness in silver and gray tones, and there is a small engraved emblem featuring an animal above a crown visible on the front; the lid has a central oval opening and a raised rim with twisted rope-like trim, and the overall shape includes smooth curved corners and a scalloped lower edge in matching silver and gray hues.
