Cup on a circular, arched, profiled base with a short shaft; semi-ovoid body flattened at the bottom; slightly flared upper edge bordered with a half-cylinder and two volute handles on the sides. Engraved on the belly: BURSTON POINT TO POINT MEETING / 22nd APRIL 1911 / OPEN STEEP LECHASE / WON BY / MR H.DETERDING'S / 'NIGGER'. Dated 1910/1911. England, London. Vessel; height 16.5 cm, width 23.5 cm, depth 14.5 cm, weight 500 g., A polished silver-colored metal trophy cup with a rounded footed base and a wide cylindrical body, shown front-facing against a light gray background; the cup has a pair of symmetrical ornate handles with curved scroll-like shapes extending outward and upward, and the surface of the metal shows subtle scratches and reflections.
