Oval platter by Mappin & Webb Ltd goldsmith, silversmith, dealer; fl. 1859–, oval platter with smooth mirror and slightly raised collar surrounded by a godron half-cylinder; on the collar a four-field coat of arms under an earl's coronet; godron ornaments, rank crowns heraldry. Dated 1904–1905. England; Sheffield, Great Britain. Dish. Materials implied: silver/goldsmith work. Height 2 cm; width 33 cm; depth 22.5 cm; weight 625 g., A large oval metal tray with a raised rim and a twisted rope-like decorative edge, shown against a pale gray background; the tray surface is smooth and slightly reflective with visible fine scratches and wear, and the overall colors are silvery gray and light gray.
