Provenance: purchase., A small open rectangular metal box is shown against a light gray background, with its hinged lid raised to reveal an interior that has a warm golden tone and visible surface scratches; the inside of the lid has three small raised oval marks. The lower half features a decorative perforated panel with an ornate floral or scrollwork pattern finished in a combination of silvery metal and touches of gold, and the exterior surfaces of the box show a matte silver color with lightly engraved linear textures and subtle darker tarnish in recessed areas.
