Burling; spherical, flattened, eight-part, burled and ribbed punch vase supported on four volute leafy feet. Two handles decorated with acanthus leaves and stylized shells. Upper edge turned up and decorated with relief ornament of leaves and shells. Materials/technique: silver punch vessel. Date: 1831/1832. Place of origin: London, England, Great Britain. Dimensions: height 15.5 cm; width 36.2 cm; depth 27.8 cm; weight 2490 g., A polished metallic object with a reflective silver surface fills the image, showing curved bulbous forms and ornate sculpted mounts; a pair of decorative handles with textured, rope-like detailing are visible at opposite edges, and four sculpted protrusions with curled ornamental elements extend outward, each ending in a hollow opening; the surface shows small areas of darker reflection and subtle scratches, and the visible colors are silver, gray, and hints of dark gray in the reflections.
