Two-candle candelabrum by Charles Hougham fl. 1769–1793. Georgian/George III classicism. Two-armed candelabrum on an oval foot bordered with pearling and decorated with a knobbed rosette. Conical fluted stem topped with a vase-shaped socket, containing a setting with two S-shaped arms terminating in saucers and vase-shaped sockets; between the arms a vase topped with a ball. Sleeves decorated halfway with vertical flutes, smooth above. Dated 1787/1788. England, London. Lighting object. Height 38 cm, width 39 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 1060 g., A round metallic disc with a central circular hole, featuring concentric raised rings and a beaded edge; visible colors include silver and shades of gray on a white background.
