Buliera kettle for boiling water, maker: Benjamin Gignac fl. 1745–1774, goldsmith. Rococo rocaille style with repoussé rococo decoration and floral/plant ornament. Spherical buliera with a flat bow mounted on volutes; side spout; centrally arched cover topped with a pine cone. Decorated with two engraved coats of arms — one four-field in an oval beneath a baronial crown, the second in an illegible shield. Missing base with heater. Date: 1753/1754, London, England, Great Britain. Vessel. Height 22 cm, width 24 cm, depth 19 cm, weight 848 g., A polished metallic teapot with a rounded body, ornate raised floral and scrollwork decoration along the upper portion, a hinged domed lid topped with a textured finial shaped like a small pinecone, a curved spout, and a hinged arched handle attached at two points; visible colors include silver tones and subtle variations of gray against a pale gray background.
