Teapot by John Emes fl. 1796–1808, goldsmith. Ovoid teapot on a circular base with lid, decorated on the upper belly with a wide band of meander ornament and braid. Side features a ribbon-shaped, broken handle decorated with braid; high-set spout decorated at the base with a stylised palmette; lid finished with a knob-shaped handle. Belly engraved with a coat of arms on one side and a cross on the other. Empire/Georgian/George III style, circa 1806–1807, London, England. Medium: silver vessel. Height 17.9 cm; width 23.7 cm; weight 815 g., A polished metallic jug with a reflective silver surface sits against a pale background, featuring a curved spout on one side and an angular handle on the other; the lid is open and attached by a hinge, showing a dark interior rim. The body of the jug has a decorative band near the top with a repeating geometric pattern and a subtle engraved border, and the lower body is smooth with a small simple engraved emblem. The handle and spout have matching decorative trim, and the jug rests on a slightly raised circular base. The visible colors are silver, metallic grey, and dark grey inside the opening, set against an off-white background.
