Teapot by John Emes fl. 1796–1808, goldsmith. Ovoid Georgian/George III teapot on a circular base with lid, c. 1806–1807, London, England. Decorated on the upper part of the belly with a wide band of meander ornament and braid. Ribbon-shaped, broken handle decorated with braid; high-set spout decorated at the base with a stylised palmette; lid finished with a knob-shaped finial. Engraved coat of arms on one side of the belly and a cross on the other. Materials: silver vessel. Dimensions: height 17.9 cm, width 23.7 cm; weight 815 g. Style: Empire/Georgian., A polished metal teapot with a reflective silver surface, featuring a curved spout on one side and a tall angular handle on the other, a domed lid with a small finial on top, a decorative band with a geometric pattern around the upper body, an engraved simple cross motif on the front, a rounded base, and a plain light gray to white background; visible colors include silver, gray, and white.
