Hemispherical cup and saucer by James Dixon & Sons Sheffield; goldsmiths; active from 1806, maker's mark present. Cup and saucer decorated with radiating curls to half the cup's height; C-shaped side handle. Round saucer with a smooth rim and a mirror decorated with radiating curls. Dated 1891–1892. Sheffield, England, Great Britain. Vessel. Cup: height 6 cm, width 11 cm, depth 8.5 cm. Saucer: height 1.7 cm, diameter 14.2 cm. Cup and saucer weight approx. 420 g., A round metallic dish with a raised central circular area and a radiating fluted pattern around it, showing a smooth outer rim. The surface is silvery with areas of darker patina and faint scratches, and the overall color appears silver-gray with lighter and darker silver variations.
