Two-candle candlestick by William Leuchars fl. 1876–1888, Leuchars & Son London; goldsmith's firm, fl. ca. 1845–1902. Two-branched candlestick on a circular domed foot; the shaft rests on a ball no finial and is enclosed at 3/4 of its height by a plate-like ring from which extend movable arms made of S-shaped twisted wires, split at the ends, terminating in cylindrical candle sockets. The foot is engraved with the Pilawa coat of arms with the motto beneath a nine-baton count's crown. 1881/1882. England, London. Lighting. Height 27 cm; width 32 cm; depth 11.5 cm; weight 1082 g., A silver-toned metal candelabrum with a rounded oval base and a tall central stem supporting a decorative horizontal ring and a group of curved, scroll-like arms ending in two cup-shaped candle holders, with visible reflective surfaces showing highlights and subtle tarnish in shades of silver and gray against a pale gray background.
