Teapot, Henry Moreton fl. 1899–1930s, factory owner; neo-Rococo style; silver scrap - purchase provenance noted; decorated with acanthus leaves and godrons; tea vessel in relief decoration; teapot on an oval plinth, egg-shaped; side spout, sleeves for attaching a wooden handle mounted on the axis added contemporarily; upper edge bordered with a band of godrons and a wide collar; hinged lid, centrally arched, topped with a handle; overall decorated with neo-Rococo relief motifs and acanthus leaves; oval blind reserve on the belly with acanthus rim; dated 1909/1910; Chester, England; height 13.5 cm, width 26 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 555 g., A decorative teapot with an ornate metallic body and a dark angular handle is shown against a pale gray background; the teapot surface is silver with embossed floral and scroll motifs covering its sides and spout, a ridged decorative rim along the top, and a domed lid with sculpted details and a small finial, while the handle is black and angular, contrasting with the shiny silver tones.
