Egg-shaped silver teapot on an oval foot, decorated with two bands of diagonal clasping, with a high upper edge, hinged lid topped with a wooden rosette, prominent spout, non-original wooden handle set in silver sockets. Made in 1896/1897, Sheffield, England. Tea vessel; height 13.5 cm, width 22.8 cm, depth 13.8 cm, weight 666 g., A silver teapot with a rounded, ribbed body and a flared spout sits on a pale neutral background; it has a curved black handle attached at the top and bottom, a domed lid topped with a small dark finial shaped like a flower, and polished reflective surfaces showing highlights and subtle shadows in silver, black, gray, and white.
