Teapot supported on four legs in the form of dolphins, octagonal, decorated with vertical narrow ringlets and flutes, with a spout-shaped spout, with a wooden handle not original mounted in sockets, with a slightly arched hinged lid, wooden finial/handle not original. Iconography: dolphin; function: tea vessel. Date: 1808–1809. Place: London, England, Great Britain. Materials: silver implied by goldsmith and wood handle. Provenance note: scrap - purchase; purchase., A silver teapot with a fluted, rounded body standing on a group of ornate feet, a curved spout on one side and a black curved handle on the other, the hinged lid is open showing the inner rim; visible colors include silver, black, and subtle reflections of gray.
