Silver candlestick on a raised, domed foot with a hexagonal rim decorated with flower heads at the corners, passing into a baluster shaft and terminating in a vase-shaped socket with a disc-shaped drip pan. Decorated with rococo motifs — rocailles, plant tendrils, flowers, cartouches, shells and acanthus leaves — with a slight spiral twist to the overall decoration. Function: lighting. Height 29 cm; diameter 16.9 cm; weight 717 g., A decorative object viewed from above showing a sculpted base with an ornate floral and scrollwork pattern surrounding a central cylindrical opening; the surface appears metallic with shades of silver and pale gray, and the interior of the opening is darker brown.
