Platter lampshade, Scott, Digby & Smith, Benjamin fl. 1802–1807 goldsmith; silver hemispherical lampshade with a non-original handle, smooth, ribbon edge, profiled. On the side, a relief plaque with the Czartoryski coat of arms on a paludament, under a princely mitre, with labry and the motto Be that as it may. The handle is contemporary. 1803/1804, London, England; vessel; height 8.5 cm, diameter 15.2 cm, weight approx. 230 g., A circular metallic dish viewed from above with a smooth reflective surface showing scratches and faint scuff marks, a raised central knob, a decorative embossed crest near the rim, and a narrow rim around the edge; the visible colors are silver, gray, and subtle hints of off-white.
