Coffee pot by Harris, CS & Sons London; goldsmiths' firm, fl. 1817–1933 and Charles Stuart Harris maker, fl. 1852–1897. Scrap-purchased; ribbed, pear-shaped silver coffee vessel supported on four ball-shaped profiled legs. Belly decorated with a band of narrow half-cylinders and grooves; godron ornaments; high spout-shaped handle on the side with a contemporarily added wooden axial handle set in silver sockets. Upper edge edged with a godron band; hinged lid domed in the center, topped with a bowling-pin finial. Dated 1895–1896. Made in London, Great Britain. Height 21.2 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10 cm; weight 640 g., A silver teapot with a polished surface showing reflections, a curved spout, a hinged domed lid topped with a small black finial, and an angular black handle attached at the back; the body has horizontal ridged decoration around its midsection, a flared rim with a scalloped edge, and rests on small rounded feet. Colors visible include silver, black, and shades of gray from reflections.
